Wage Rate   $ 40,400 starting wage

Hours of Work:      Monday to Thursday, hours from 12:00pm to 8:00pm; Friday 9:00am-5:00pm and may be flexed based on program needs (37.5 hours/week). Some weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Child & Youth Worker diploma, Early Childhood Education diploma, Bachelor of Arts in Child Development is preferred
  • Previous experience working with and understanding of violence against women and it’s effects on children
  • Experience in residential therapeutic program model is an asset
  • Experience in crisis intervention, problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Ability to work in crisis situations with multiple demands
  • Demonstrated ability to provide non-judgmental and culturally sensitive support to children
  • Willingness to develop knowledge and skills about violence against women and its impact upon children, women and the community
  • Sound knowledge of community agencies and resources as they relate to children
  • Capacity to work in a computerized environment and ability to track stats as needed
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team and with external resources
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to conduct safety planning with children
  • Ability to facilitate children’s groups both therapeutic and educational
  • Assist with on the job training of new staff, students and volunteers
  • Current CPR and First Aid is required
  • Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset

Coordinator, Digital Marketing and Database Content – Part Time Position (3 days per week)

Role Summary

The Coordinator of Digital Marketing and Database Content, is accountable for providing a comprehensive range of support services to the Development Team in order that Halton Women’s Place achieves its long term and short term strategic fund development goals. These accountabilities:

  • The fostering of a donor-centered attitude and culture of philanthropy and donor relationship management throughout the organization in order to maximize fund development opportunities.
  • Participation in signature, partnership and community events including, but not limited to, the Annual Gala and Auction, Golf Tournament and Hope in High Heels walkathons and community and partnership events.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Coordination

  • Monitor and participate in all conversations that take place on our social media pages.
  • Manages all digital marketing initiatives along side our marketing company.

Marketing Coordination

  • Create all in house and third party posters and invitations.
  • Work with our marketing company in regards to our annual marketing plan.

Raisers Edge Management

  • Assist in managing donor database, including creating and updating of donor information, and creating queries to inform development initiatives
  • Maintain robust data integrity with the goal of providing current, consistent and accurate data.
  • Create and generate reports from Raiser’s Edge to support and improve fundraising and stewardship efforts.

General Duties

  • Provide support to third party events in collaboration with the Development Manager and Development Officer and serve as one of the main point of contacts for events as assigned.
  • Support the tracking of community events in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Support the Development Team with the management of all in house events (gala, golf tournament and walkathons, which includes, but not limited to, soliciting for auction items and entering auction items into database.)
  • Assist in managing inventory of all auction donations and other particular event materials for internal fundraising events and community events as needed.
  • Assist in the mailing/emailing of all invoices and thank you letters with the Development Officer.
  • Support the stewardship of donors and community event organizers.
  • Attend and represent HWP at various community events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education preferably in Fundraising or Digital Marketing Certificate program
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with Raisers’ Edge NXT is an asset
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a professional manner
  • Available to attend evening and weekend events to support HWP third party fundraisers, in house events
  • Proficient in use of all forms of social media
  • Experience updating websites is an asset
