In 2018, as we embark on 40 years we are inviting our community of Halton to be a part of our Ruby Campaign – a campaign to signify the future of ending violence against women. The future is with our children.

Our Public Education & Advocacy Program is in high demand in classes across the Region. Our educators present to students from Grades 1-12 on a variety of topics including healthy relationships, gender stereotypes, consent, dating violence and the law and so much more. We know that the key to ending violence against women is educating our children. We need to make sure that kids living in abusive homes know that they have options…that they don’t have to repeat the cycle of violence. We also need to educate children about what a healthy relationship is to prevent unhealthy, abusive relationships to start.

However, this program is not government funded. It’s a program that relies on community support.

Your Support.

We hope that we can count on your support as a Ruby Donor in 2018. For example, $500 would help reach 30 children. These children can change the statistics on the future of woman abuse.  How many could you help us reach?

For more information on how to become a Ruby Donor and what our recognition opportunities are for each level, please call Carm Bozzo, Development Manager at 905-332-1200 ext. 222 or email her at cbozzo@haltonwomensplace.com
