Commemorate International Women’s Day with Halton Women’s Place
March 8 is International Women’s Daya global day to celebrate women’s and girls’ achievements while raising awareness of the progress made toward gender equality and the work still to be done. Each year, Halton Women’s Place marks this occasion with an International Women’s Day luncheon featuring a guest speaker, a vendor marketplace of women-led businesses, and a hot buffet lunch. Meet Our Guest Speaker: Fallon Farinacci
A proud Red River Métis, Fallon is a Speaker, Survivor, & Advocate for MMIWG (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls). Fallon has cultivated an incredible community and uses her online platform to share her story, give back to the Indigenous community, and raise awareness for causes and organizations close to her heart. Fallon continues to share her family’s story & bring awareness to the ongoing Genocide Indigenous women, girls 2S+ folx face in hopes of bringing change & awareness across Turtle Island.
