Who can call the crisis line?
Women (of any age) who are experiencing abuse (of any type), or who think they MIGHT be experiencing abuse – We will believe you, and we can help.
Family, friends and co-workers – If you are worried about someone in your life and don’t know what to do to help, call us!
What happens if I call the crisis line?
You will be directly connected to one of HWP’s wonderful, trauma-informed Crisis Intervention Counsellors.
The counsellor will ask if you are safe in that moment, and will listen and believe your experience.
The counsellor will guide you through the options available to you in terms of both in-shelter or community outreach support.
When can I call the crisis line?
Halton Women’s Place and our Crisis Line are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You can reach out to us whenever you have a safe moment for yourself.
