Hope in High Heels from Home
Walk Week: September 19th to September 25th
This past year has been even tougher than most for women facing domestic violence. Woman abuse has become a pandemic within the COVID-19 pandemic as our clients have found themselves in lockdown after lockdown with their abusive partners, with no opportunity to reach out for help.
HWP has worked hard to support our clients throughout this difficult time, and we continue to need the community’s support as Halton Region reopens, and our shelters begin to reach capacity once again.
Here is your chance to show her you support her- that you want to help her.
Walk with us!
In order to keep everyone safe, we are bringing back Hope in High Heels From Home. You’ll be able to choose how YOU want to participate during Walk Week 2021!
For 2021, we’re waiving all Registration fees – All you’ll need to do is create your fundraising page and spread the word!
Looking for Volunteer Hours?
Students can collect 1 volunteer hour for every hour walked during walk week!
Email email@example.com with your Community Involvement Hours form, and proof that you walked (step counter, photo or video) and we’ll sign for the hours completed.
Walk YOUR Way:
Hope in High Heels is an event EVERYONE can participate in – ANY age range, ANY ability level, ANY gender identity! We can ALL join together (separately), to help end intimate partner violence. No heels necessary! Rock your pink accessories during Walk Week to raise awareness for Halton Women’s Place. Pink shoelaces, pink shirts, and pink socks – We’ve seen it all, and we love your passion for the cause!
Men and boys – You have set a remarkable example for the community throughout Hope in High Heels’ history. Now is the time to bring along your friends, family and pets as you walk. If you want to borrow some hot pink heels for Walk Week – Let us know! We can arrange for you to pick up a pair in September.
Choose a walk challenge, collect pledges and get outside during Walk Week to show your community that you are stepping up to be part of the solution to ending violence against women.
For Walk Week – break out your best PINK attire in place of your usual heels!
