Mother’s Day means something different to all of us.
Maybe you’re celebrating a mother who shaped you with love.
Maybe you’re grieving one who’s no longer here.
Maybe this day is complicated.
Whatever Mother’s Day brings for you, it’s a moment to reflect on the people—mothers, grandmothers, aunties, mentors—who showed you compassion when you needed it most.
At Halton Women’s Place, we support women who are rebuilding their lives after experiencing abuse. Many of them are mothers, rediscovering their strength.
This Mother’s Day, you can show them that they’re not alone.
You can donate in honour of a mother you love—or you can share a message of hope to uplift a woman in shelter. Your words, your empathy, your love—it all matters.
Donate in Honour
Make a donation in honour of your mother, or someone who mothered you with kindness. You’ll have the option to send an e-card with a personal message.
You don’t have to know someone to show them they matter.
One in four women will experience abuse in their lifetime.
Maybe you have.
Maybe someone you love has.
This Mother’s Day, we’re opening space—for stories, for healing, for connection.
Whether you donate or share a message, you’re reminding a woman in shelter that she’s not alone.
Your kindness makes a difference. Your story might too.
